Noelle

Introducing our latest addition, Noelle!!! At approximately 13 years old, she brings an abundance of sweetness to our sanctuary . Despite her vision and hearing challenges, Insulin-Dependent Diabetes, and early-stage Cushing's disease, Noelle exudes a gentle charm. Swiftly finding her place within the pack, she's embraced with love as she acquaints herself with her new surroundings. Noelle's harmonious nature is evident in her interactions with all, and demonstrates a love for affection. An enthusiastic appetite and a newfound voice highlight her unique personality.

Tanner

Tanner, a 10-year-old sweetheart, is facing some health challenges, including weight management, arthritis, and an occasional cough due to chronic bronchitis. However, his spirit shines through. Tanner is incredibly sweet, friendly with both dogs and humans, and as he gets healthier, he's embarking on short walks with the pack. During rehab sessions, he enjoys laying in the shallow end of the pool, and he absolutely adores treats. Tanner is a true testament to the resilience of senior dogs. As Tanner’s health improves, he may become eligible for ’special needs adoption’!

Simon

Meet Simon, our forever dog who has captured our hearts with his kind, sweet, and gentle nature. Simon is a middle-aged blind dog who we suspect has been blind since birth. When we first met him at the shelter, we knew he was the one for us. Despite his blindness, Simon's spirit remained unbroken. Although we used a halo to guide him in the first few weeks, he quickly learned to navigate his surroundings with ease, proving to be a true inspiration to us all. Simon reminds us that we can overcome challenges with a positive attitude and a determined spirit. His favorite things in life include belly rubs, massages, cuddling on the sofa, and going for sensory walks. Simon is a forever dog who has left a forever mark on our hearts, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, love, and kindness will always prevail.

MoMo

Mauricio, affectionately known as Momo, who joined our family in October 2022 with a challenging condition—a large perineal hernia severely impacting his quality of life. At the age of 10, Momo had been enduring discomfort for an unknown duration. Despite the risks and costs, we opted for a significant surgery to repair the hernia, and several months later, Momo was not only healed but radiating gratitude and love for life!

His favorite pastimes include chasing balls, basking in the cool shade outdoors, enjoying short walks, car rides, field trips, and the simple pleasure of having his ears rubbed. Momo's transformation from chronic discomfort to love, joy, and affection has been nothing short of beautiful.

Recently, while working him up for 'old dog vestibular syndrome,' we uncovered another challenge—Momo has chronic leukocytic leukemia. Despite this unexpected news, we are dedicated to providing him with the best care and making his golden years as happy as possible. As a result, we've decided that Momo will now be a permanent member of our Payton’s Promise family.

We are thrilled to share that Momo is no longer "adoptable" but has found his forever home with us. Let's continue showering him with love and support as he embarks on this new chapter of his life. 🐾❤️
