However, his spirit shines through. Tanner is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and friendly with
both dogs and humans. As he gets healthier, he’s been able to shed some weight, which has notably eased his arthritis, allowing him to walk farther and faster.

During rehab sessions, he not only enjoys laying in the shallow end of the pool but also has progressed to doing a few assisted laps, showcasing his determination and progress. And of course, Tanner absolutely adores treats, which serve as motivation and rewards during
his journey to better health.

Tanner’s resilience and determination are a true testament to the strength of senior dogs. As his health continues to improve, he’s enjoying life to the fullest, surrounded by love and care at the
sanctuary.
